Poem Artwork

We are still in the high eighties here;-)

Howl you santa ana winds

bluster and blow it makes

me all aglow, lift my skirt

throw me in the dirt, knock

me off my feet give me a treat

get me away from the hot sunny

day, that never ends, and give me

a ride on your thermal glide, so

I can play with the asteroids, go

ahead you tempestuous tease, that

doesn't know how to be a breeze

flip me over with your lust to gust

blow me away til I see the heavenly

sight of starlight, then let your

intensity deliver me to infinity!

etw

Superb internal rhyme. However, it isn't nice to tell those of us who are already bundled like Nanook how warm you have it. ;}

The Santa Anas can be so strong. I can recall them pushing me along as I was walking and even knocking me off of a curb now and again. They would be the greatest thing ever if they weren't so dry and so responsible for brush fires....but I must admit, I always loved them. Very cute poem!
Take care,
Sherry

Wow Eileen, I had started to write a poem about wind yesterday afternoon. Now that I've read yours I realize why I abandoned it. You've really captured the many aspects and moods that are conjured by wind. ~ Sara
