The TV weather report shows some really bad stuff all over,much worse than what we have here,but it is unusual for this kind of cold and total darkness,though I love to watch storms I do pray no harm comes to anyone...
Out from the sky of ebony
Poured down rain mercilessly
Pelting the windows like ice
A cold wind, knew not nice
Howling like the hounds of hell
Tree limbs fiercly dancing pell mell
Storms like this, leave trees bare
Blissfully blowing without a care
Rarely do we see this kind of storm
Where skies stay black all morn
it's now past noon, and sun is out
intermittenly, the rain will hang about
Weather ferocious, is exceptionally cold
Time to write some cards, plans put on hold
Since I love to watch weather acting insane
No complaints from me,i'm a singer in the rain
ET, that bad weather just be hitting on us soon, ten inches plus of snow and after that rain, rain, rain and temperatures from -10 C to +4 C in twenty-four hours, if that's not a crazy winter...someone need to tell me the contrary!

Brrrrrrrr, 23 degrees here, wind chill 17. Chance freezing rain/drizzle tonight. I'll take those stormy skies, as long as the lightning is as pretty as in the piccy! GORGEOUS. Now: if it goes severe, don't want it! LOL A beautiful poem, Eileen, a StormSpinner kind of write for sure. :) Well done!

There's something very spiritual about storms. They're so loud once can't help but think about "the moment."
Exceptionally unusual for California this time of year. This is more for the January, February and early march, right? Hopefully it will pass, no harm done. Does leave me scratching my head in wonderment as the weather everywhere has been pretty strange the past few years...

This poem makes me think of the times that I've thought about writing poetry, pouring skies provoke my muse. Good write Eileen.
This poem was so me..... :-)) I too fear for others when these wild nature bursts seem to terrorize certain areas...but for me... I love to watch them...and listen to the pounding rain...and even the electrical storms that make my heart shake with the trembling... yet...I love it... thunder crashing.... and even when I was in that horrible hailstorm this past June in the Texas Panhandle on my way from Tennessee to Nevada.... almost three hours trapped in my SUV with my 16 yr old teen granddaughter...along with hundreds of others along the Interstate...with no place to go for safety... it was the most frightening time...yet it was exciting too... Go figure!!!! :-)) lindalaw
