On this clear, clear night
The three-quarter moon
Rises majestically above
The mountain ridges;
Her glow, almost as bright
As when she is full,
Bathes the trees and fields
In gentle radiance,
Softening the shadows
And inviting me out
To commune with
The fairies
Who are said to dance
In its light.
