Since the ending of the war
Then when it began.

A tragic terrible fact; and we should all pray for peace on Earth.

Excellent reminder, Karla. I have a cousin who had just gotten married when her husband got sent there. She moved to Germany to teach school, and waits for his return. I just pray its with open arms, and not a broken heart.

Thank you for this, Karla. My heart is heavy for the families of those who have died. I owe my freedom to every soldier and I will never allow myself to forget that. The red in our flag is a symbol of the blood of those who have died that our country might endure. Your graphic is so very true. Freedom is NOT, never has been and never will be free. God bless them all.

I saw that too and some of them are from our area. One lady wrote a rant on the useless knowledge column and she called them dumb yanks. They were somebody's child, a brother, father and husband. But still they go on for to bring some peace.
