...The sky, blackened, bruised; lightning tears wounds in the skin holding back the storm; the clouds roar in pain each time. ...And we look nervously around; we cringe with each thundershout as it hits and shivers through our soul. ...And watch the rain falling; falling like tears; hail batters the walls of indifference we'd built to ignore the abuse. ...And the last of our resolve melts with a particularly vicious strike ... by then, it is too late. ...And we are exposed as the frauds we are, because we didn't do anything and let it happen.
You leave me breathless with the sense of ongoing terror, the "ducking and diving" as Susan so rightly says. "Nowhere to run... nowhere to hide", as I've just said on Vesna's write, too. I cannot imagine what it must be like to live with the constant threat... but, on the other hand, so many storms have already been weathered and absorbed, perhaps that in itself builds "coping mechanisms" and internal strategies for being able to continuously "live life on the edge". In my prayers, Babe... Bless you and keep strong. Kate xx
Karla this one is a WOW!Really captured it and made it powerfully clear how abusive it was! I hope and pray for your safety and peace of mind, seeing there are more storms today. What the poor people of those other states especially Tennesee went through is so awful devastating. Frayer faith and tears is about all we have right now, as we see storms becoming monsters and the forecast not so good, and Katrina is still a nightmare. May we all remember to keep praying not let up, because faith is what brings help, not giving up because we don't see instant help. Take care you guys. My thoughts are with you.
Love,
Eileen
You girls must be ducking and dodging those storms and those pregnated vortexes. Be very careful. I'd like you to stick around for many years.
Love and peace,
Susan
Storms are beautiful but we need to heed their down side. Excellent write. R

Confusing ending, but I can readily attest that people can, and do, become ultra nervous when high winds, thunder and lightening strickes are nearby. Those poor people in Indiana and other places yesterday wil certainly never forget what passed through their lives. I like what you said to Peter this morning.
