After a high of 40 degrees yesterday, it's supposed to be 61 today and in the low 70s tomorrow. :) More than ready--fibromyalgia really acts up when it's cold.

Winter's tightening
grip stilled the blood in the veins,
putting me to sleep.
With Spring's advent, I'm given
another chance to flower.  :)

Isn't it a great feeling to sit pout in the morning sun in winter and warm slowly as the sun gets high in the sky? Beauty of a moment.
Blessings and love,
Susan

Spring's advent. I love that meaning! Flowers in January - only in the south! Thanks, Karla, for bringing some color to a cold winterday in Denver, CO.

Karla, hope you will get some warm weather to help you with your fibromyalgia. I hear that's terrible to deal with. I enjoyed the simplicity in this poem, bring much meaning to a few words. This is a keeper!

...spring will then give way...to heat of summer...and will spawn again the wishes for fall and winter. In all seasons...I find grace.

That's a lovely flower and a beautiful verse to describe it. Glad to see sparks of new birth--even in a photo. Its still very much winter here, down in the low thirties many nights.

Karla, be glad you are alive to FEEL the cold! I'd much rather be cold than hot! I know it's not easy for you, with your fibromyalgia, but be glad for that warm sweater or slippers! That'll warm you up! Or make yourself something hot to eat! :) Very well penned; I'd rather have winter stick around for a while longer! Not looking forward to the start of severe weather season!

Very well penned, brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twinkles, Karen Lynn. :D
