Whaaaat? Me? 49??!??
... not YET. Don't rush things. Have
a couple more days before that age
arrives on my doorstep. Going to
make the most of forty eight while I
still can: won't see that any more
after Thursday. Another year come
and gone --- where does the time ...
go? Can tell you --- went the way of
the dinosaurs. Look in the mirror, a
stranger stares back. Who is she?
She's so --- old. Not ancient, but not
young, either. Some wrinkles. Grey
in the hair. Mean, she looks familiar,
but --- oh, my --- she. Is. Me! Not
complaining: wasn't expected to live
past birth. Grateful to be here. But:
Whaaaat? Me? 49??!?? Knew it
was coming but it got here too fast!
You 49???! ! ! girl you don't look a day over eighty-one! ! ! should I welcome you to my geriatric team for our next game?
Probably I wouldn't be around (in Mallorca belly up on the beach) but this will be the best opportunity to say Happy Birthday with all my heart! ! !
Just want to wish you the happiest of birthdays ever and many, many more to come. Big kisses and hugs and if I were handy some spanks on the butt.

You are a youngster to me. I haven't seen forty-nine in seventeen years! Just returned from vacation where I was still quite competitive driving race cars at high speed with younger folks. It is your joie de vivre that matters. Live well, live long. Happy birthday. God bless. JMW
Happy Birthday to you. Oh, that I would be 49 again. Hitting 50 went downhill ever since. But when I reach 70? how will I feel, better able to accept it when I did 60. I just did not want to reach 60 and now I am 63, going on 64 in Oct and I am really looking forward to reaching my 70's and 80's too since I have great friends now that age. Hope my health holds up and yours too. You are so young yet, don't let it worry you. Next year start to worry more, but not much. Let it flow that is life, we cannot stop our aging. Hope I have encouraged you somehow today.
In celebration of the two days before: have a happy pre-birthday. I think birthdays get better every year. I love my aging years, but I've worked hard to cultivate this body of mine (and this mind) with good health through good nourishment and proper exercise. When you get my age, every day is a birthday. It's amazing that we are facing forty nine; I can't believe it myself!~ Yet God let us live this long; any day we wake up breathing is a great day! :) Learn to count what we already have instead of what we don't! I always have grey hair coming out on my front right corner of my head. My grey hair has chosen that spot to come out; but the people at work thought it was hilites that I have used on my hair. Haha!!! What the heck, I just let them think it is.
