i saw a butterfly today:
a tiny thing sitting on a
yellow flower that was
bigger than it was. when
i saw it, i immediately
thought of you.
although the winds tried
to blow it off its path, it
was determined to find the
sweetness life has to offer.
even though some of the
powder was missing off of
its wings, it was beautiful.
and when i saw that little
butterfly, i also saw hope -
although life has tried to net
you and leave you broken,
you still have the faith to fly.
