"Tears for Father's Day"
My eyes silver these lines in
memory of my Daddy: he
was the best. Of course, all
little girls say that, but mine
was. I remember his hugs
the most - how I miss them.
There was strength and love
in those big, strong arms that
smelled of sweat and smoke.
How I long to hear his voice,
his laughter. I'd give anything
to hear him say, "I love you."
Been gone a little over a year:
no little girl should be without
her Daddy on Father's Day ...
Mine passed three years ago. Girls miss their fathers most. Those hugs will remain for the rest of your life. My Dad only hugged women. I tend that way, too.
Beautiful and touching write Karla, my own Dad passed on almost thirty years ago but every Father's day I still think of him and miss him deeply. We should be thankful though for to love and miss them that much it means they were great fathers and we were so fortunate to have had them as parents.
Karen, he will be always besides you even when your eyes don't see him, but when a tear try to run down on your cheek you will feel a soft breeze hitting your face, its is your Dad trying to dry that tear aand make you realize how near of you he really is.
Karla, I can understand this as I lost my dad five years ago this coming September. I go to Florida to visit my mom a few times a year, and it never feels quite the same now that he's no longer there. Beautiful writing, Karla.

Father's Day is a celebration and though sadness will touch many a young girl. lady, woman, or family...there is the joy of remembrance...I hope you can place a smile for your Daddy up in Heaven Karla...
