Actually, it's not bad out. 46 degrees, currently. Stiff north winds.
But I remember winter from my youth in Ohio ... that just seemed to last forever. LOL

I grew up in Upstate New York. I remember the same thing. After X-mas, it was a brutally long haul till Spring. What's the point? That's why I moved to Cali!!
I personally like winter, maybe because its the season of Christmas; but I also prefer its cool/cold days to the muggy, monotonous heat of summer. I'm definitely more active in the cold than in the heat. Then, I've always been backwards to the rest of humanity. Another excellent write, Karla! Rebecca

Well won't be long before we are into it here, we have already had our first snowfall so hoping we have a white Christmas...something magical about it.

Happily we have had dense fog for weeks now hiding your nose that make you drive the car with a white cane in front, balmy temperature, not Autumn and no Winter, Sweden weather stinks!
lol It's not that cold! *grin* The wind was blowing pretty hard for a while this mornin' but even that's let up here, it's only gonna last about three days and then back into the 70's. This is TX ya know? If you don't like the weather wait a few minutes and it'll change.
