Ah ha is what I say to thee,
I’m an Eagle yes siree.
A whole nation looks up at me,
Because I’m so pretty, don’t ya see?
If old Ben Franklin had gotten his way,
You’d be having me for Thanksgiving day.
Instead of my stupid cousin the lowly Turkey.
Besides, whoever heard of “Eagle Jerky?”
In winged flight I'm so majestic,
Forget I’m almost anorexic.
I’ll eat anything left around,
Unlike that Turkey on the ground.
Yep, if old Ben had gotten his way,
We’d be having Eagle day.
But Turkeys stayed there on their feet,
Plus, they have a lot more meat.
