The power is still out in some neighborhoods of Galveston. So the people are having to open their windows for the first time in most cases. The police are trying to be tactful in situations like this. But I'm sure it's hard on all of them...Errr, difficult:=)
Mommy, did you hear screaming last night?
It sounded to us like such a fright.
Ms. Smith was in such a fuss,
It scared me and Sissy,
Yes, the both of us.
Uhhhhhhh,
Let me see,
I think I heard it too.
I think that it may have been,
The animals at the zoo.
Because we now have the windows open,
It’s just like being outside,
You hear things now at night,
The windows override.
Mommy, do animals talk?
Because Ms Smith said,
“Oh My God, Fred, I think that something,
Has gone dead”.
I wonder what went dead lol. Great write.

Good one Walt. On the more serious side, we still have people at my east Texas hotel who cannot yet return to Galveston. And it appears there is a news blackout on those who remain missing from Galveston Island (washed away). It would be interesting to know how many are still accounted for (from the last census).
