Oh, how wonderful are the changes of the seasons.

Poem Artwork

A Perfect Gift

It’s blowing and snowing outside, time for a cup of hot chocolate.
Drinking it along side a fire, with a good book filled with grit.
All cuddled in a warm blanket with my feet warm as toast.
Totally enjoying this wonderful life, it’s the best and the most.

Hearing the wind blowing outside doesn’t bother me at all.
For I am toasty and warm inside when I answered your call.
Go to a great movie, a lunch at Chill’s or shopping you say?
“OH my friend, I don’t think so, not on this wonderful day.”

Nothing or no one could get me to go outside in this storm.
I just want to hang around here where I’m toasty and warm.
Oh, wonderful life truly is and how I love days such as this.
The first snow storm, a perfect gift from Jack Frost with a kiss.

Our first snow came on October 9th and it snowed for 68 hours straight! We only ended up with about 15 inches of accumulation though... I love those snowy days where home is the best place to be!

Having hot chocolate in that type of storm is sweet, but having a Teddy Bear to cuddle with underneath the blankets will be much sweeter, listening to romantic songs from Etta James,Frank Sinatra,Barry White,Alicia Keys, etc :-).I enjoy reading this poem.take care

Bonnie,

It might be nippy out there, but I'm grateful the long, hot Summer is OVer. LOL Now, what to do with the wind ... really cuts through you! Well done, Bonnie, the comfort that is in your blanket of words and a cup of hot chocolate humor! LOL

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Sorry took so long to review, been away all day at a church retreat AWESOME God ...

Ahhh but you could have invited your friend over for a cup of hot chocolate, a share of your blanket, and bring their own book...lol

You can keep all that snow there, though we could do with just a small amount, maybe like a dusting...ed

It's raining buckets full here on the Island but I had to make a necessary trip to the store. Stay warm and you can keep that snow, sorry.

Dang, Bonnie, a few poems like that and I will start loving snowstorms again. I do know you are so right about being blissfully curled up, all toasty and warm, when it is freezing outside. Yes :-)
