I like your words, but not your message. Here in Florida, winter isn't so difficult to handle from the standpoint of the weather, but suddenly we can't get a seat in our neighborhood restaurants and bars without a reservation: Traffic doubles, or triples and it seems like the "Snowbirds" all have to be out there on the streets right when everybody is trying to get to or from work. Speaking not for myself, but for friends who work in the service industries most of them seem to be lousy tippers too. Guess they figure they’ll only be here for a short time, why worry about it.
Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to go off on a tangent, but your poem opened a door for me… Probably not the door you intended, but none the less, it touched me. Thanks, I’ll be back again soon.
