Poem Artwork

The ground was powdery white
Mother nature had laid her blanket
Of winter delight
Children were on their sleds
Yelling and laughing
Having a great time-
Nature started looking ahead
To the next season
Spring carrying the warmth of the sun
Rain nourishing flowers, plants,
Trees, bushes and shrubs
Turn, turn, turn... ... ...

Without an axis, all this would not be possible. The entire Earth would have no seasons, similar to what occurs in the equator. It is indeed, the turn, turn, turning of the earth that creates these wonderful changes north of the tropics. Your poem makes me remember when I lived where they were more distinct and life-changing.

There has been no winter here (second year in a row); and spring has sprung (like the title of my latest poem posted here), quite some time back. The daffodils are just about in bloom. Believe it or not, I miss the snow. I love your poem, by the way, Deborah. Thank you for sharing it. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

Just kidding, of course. Your lovely poem has given me hope! Thank you.
