Outlawed the burning of leaves years ago. Every Autumn I miss leaves burning.
However, I believe out in the country they still burn.

Do you remember
Burning leaves-
The aroma is in my conscious mind,
We would rake a small pile
Into the street
My mother would set it on fire
I miss leaves burning
Do You...

I remember that acrid smell in the air. I also remember that time that a grass fire almost got away from us. Scary. I enjoy just the smell of autumn leaves while walking through the forest. They have that musty, slow burning background aroma that is only extinguished by the winter snow.

I miss it as well! We used to burn them at the end of our limestone driveway. It was always supervised.

Love ya!

Yep, you can bet those country people still burn their leaves. I loved the burning of the leave also.
