Butterflies fluttering wings As though They were keeping tempo Caterpillars crawling Amongst sidewalks Where children play Hummingbirds voracious While sucking out nectar From certain flowers Summer memories Laid upon my mind That nature ensues...

I do seem to remember that nature was more alive, varied and vibrant when I was young. But I was out in it a lot more in those days. And, a lot closer to the ground. ;-)
