~ Dandelion Faeries ~
.
She held some faeries in her hands
So fuzzy-soft and full of light
Bright rays on those glistening strands
The moment was both still and quiet
.
It lingered there, 'tween fingers there
A shimmering orb of wonder
Each tiny clump of silken hair
Starbusts of magic, wonder
.
In fascination, made a wish
Knowing faerie dreams come true
In anticipation, blew a kiss
Laughed with delight, as faeries flew
.
Off they went, each on its own
Faeries, scattered to the winds
The child then turned and ran back home
To tell Grandma 'bout her faerie friends

"Twas magic." said the little girl
With eyes shinning so bright.
I really saw them Grandma,
They all gave off a pretty light."
Grandma smiled, at the little girl,
Cause she knew of the faerie beings.
For many years ago, twas herself,
Running to tell her mom of these things.
"Me darling child," Grandma exclaimed,
Tis been that was for hundreds of years.
Faeries have come to bring us cheer,
Sprinkle faerie dust to wipe away our tears."
That very night as the little girl slept.
In her pretty little room.
Faeries gathered around her,
Whispering, "We will be seeing you soon."

How wonderful is childhood. And it stays with us forever as her gramma remembers the faeries too. Absolutely beautiful. I've always loved dandelions too.
