'So close yer head and listen'

Poem Artwork

"Hey you's ginks and  bims

Call me Ishmael - I'm da

wise head dat's gonna tell

you the story about old Moby."

"So close yer head and listen

It's a steel cold morning

The Pequod leaves Nantucket

Captain Ahab is the crab."

"Pressed crew from all nations

Ship's soon in warmer waters

Ahab pulls out a deck

Has one good leg and a dingus."

"Wants to pursue a white whale

You spot him - get a gold doubloon

More like the dicks a major loon

Sails round Africa to the Indian Ocean."

"Encounters the ship Jeroboam

Prophet on board speaks of doom

Must have been dipping the bill

Boy, we're gonna carry that weight."

"Then encounters another ship of fools

The Samuel Enderby - Cap lost an arm

Moby This duck souped, then drifted

SOS - got dusted, eggs in the coffee."

"Approach the point of no return - dead end

Sign from Moby This: "Fade" - Ahab finder

Nantucket Sleigh Ride - get flim-flammed

Flippers? Flop!  Captain Ahab goes goofy."

"Ship turned into fire wood - got burned

I'm the only one living - survive on giggle juice

Do the dead man's float on Queequeg's coffin

Picked-up years later by the RMS Rhone - go figure."
