'Needed to buy some new lace . . . '

Poem Artwork

Not so little Miss Muffet

who had a bod beyond

compare, was told by her

mom [the worn out woman

who lived in a size 300 shoe]

to do the horizontal mambo

to make a buck or two.

Needed to buy some new lace

Not for curtains, but for the

shoe; and with so many kids

she couldn’t get a job, as her

bum husband made like a

banana and split; so it was up

to the oldest to get employed.

So, out Miss Muffet went – did

it with Simple Simon; the pie-man;

the butcher; the baker,[he liked

her cookie]; and the candlestick

maker; boy, was she worn out;

Decided to take a break – sat down

on her tuffet – ate some curds and whey.

Along came one big-ass spider; scared

the crap outta her – but Miss Muffet

quickly regained her composure; served

up a can of kick-butt [known as Raid]

That was all she could take though; eloped

with a handsome prince known as Charming

And they lived happily ever after (wink, wink!).

Clever stuff, Lance. I often find nursery rhyme to be a source of inspiration. Nice twists here in your verses. Love and peace,
