There is such caring and tenderness in the last line, while the restless darkness and the whispering breeze promise intense passion...I'd suggest you change the last line to "It is time to dance, my love" -- but! that would dilute and trivialize a breathtaking final image for that night.
My goodness Reg, what could I possibly add to the list of glowing comments you have already received that hasn't already been said. I believe we are all romantics at heart, this poetic group of us...and I believe poets make romance even more special in life. I'll never tire of reading of man's love for his woman and you've captured it is a most delicate way. Sigh...

A lush and lavish profusion of images, Reg. Immensly enjoyable.
So lovely. I can feel the smell of fir and cedar as I'm reading these lines, and I can feel and recognise the moment that created them. An exceptionally well written song of life, longing and fulfilment swinging in the night air.
To those in love with forest and mountain, to those in love, period, this one poem brings remembrance, a melancholic yearning and a wish to go to sleep and dream, dream, dream.....

Wot? SLEEP??? A lucid dream might be waaaaaaaaay better, but then, can so appreciate what you speak of here... As a child, I used to long for the night, when I could wrap myself in my fantasies of Paul McCartney... Hang on a minute... I still do! :)) (Though Mackers has been substituted since about my 9th year...) Breathtaking anticipation here.
