Too often memoirs never make it to the bookshelves, and if they do, they are overlooked. To bring more attention this wonderful genre, we’ll be spotlighting a few for you in Mom’s blog.
As I was researching online, I ran across a great memoir written by a German woman who was also raised under Hitler’s rule. Like Mom, Anna Klein Spencer was born in 1930. Her battles, of course, were different than Mom's, but still very interesting if you want to get another glimpse of how difficult life was for many back then.
Recommend going to Anna’s blog and reading some excerpts from her book, "On a Green Twig”:
"On a Green Twig is the memoir of Anna Klein Spencer who grew up in Germany during the Depression and World War II.
