THE DENTIST AND BOOK PROPAGANDA 12/30/2009 7:50:14 AM

My Mother has approved me as her official blogger. It took me a few minutes to explain what a blog was to her, and I still don't think she quite understands. She has come a long way though. Introducing her to a computer mouse was a real challenge. Never thought it would be so difficult for a person to handle a mouse, but she eventually got the hang of it after a few DAYS! She still writes most of her work the old fashioned way -- ink pen and a writing block. I'm usually the one that has to type it all up. Heaven forbid she catches a typo!
Had to take her to the dentist for a cleaning yesterday. While I was in the waiting room, I could hear her chatting about her book. Good grief! Funny thing though, as we were walking out to the car, she dead seriously told me, "You know, I don't think I'll make much money on this book of mine. I've been telling everyone that I'll give them a free copy."
I told Mom that I'm including a bit on her trip to the dentist and she said to be sure to tell everyone that she was "doing propaganda" for her book. Even at her age she understands the value of information operations. : )
