Filling Negative Spaces

Bitter attitudes moves you backward and leaves emotional destruction behind. Better attitudes moves you closer to your blessing while leaving a pleasant remembrance.
The best attitude encourages others to recognize that they no longer benefit from being bitter. So, why be bitter about the past; just make up your mind to be be better.
Pour water into any glass, and that water become multi-purposed.
It can refresh the dry tongue of a stranger; and baptizes the penitent sinner into working
out ones soul salvation in an acceptable relationship with God.
Water can be used to display extreme frustration if held in the mouth and spewed in a projectile
manner. It can sustain life for a cactus blossom in the middle of Death Valley. It can bring joy to
a family gathering in a game of water balloon tag. Soothe the weary feet of an aged housekeeper
or waitress after being on her feet collecting tips when she herself should be serviced for, if
nothing else, the wisdom of her years.
And water can be home to a creature like my pet betta, Midas. At the same time water can fill the
lungs an unsuspecting ice fisherman who second guessed mother nature’s power to take life, as
well as be an environment where a fetus thrives on life.
Water blends colors of an artist’s palate into swirls that baffle the imagination. Swishes the thick
toothpaste residue from our plaque filled mouths stricken with that dreaded but all too common
dragon breath after a night of (what seems never to be enough) slumber.
But in all cases, water is used to fill a space, and its purpose is totally under our control.
Therefore, it is our choice. And each choice is different based on why we were moved to use
water in the first place.
Water will always unify with water. It never shatters unless struck by force when frozen. The
same can be said about our midlife, and all our other “lives” the lead us in our many directions.

Those with creative purpose can never keep their lives safe within the confines of a drinking
glass. Life is meant to be lived full and overflowing by choice. The of course means we’ve got to
risk a little spillage called “rejection” when we pour it out to quench the thirst of those who seek
to drink from our knowledge.
So my advice is this: Just have your handy -dandy cloth of confidence alongside you to clean up
the negative mess we often experience. Fill your drinking glass of life, and flood your
environment with positive reassurance that anything is possible, as long as you’re willing to
clean up the spills along the way. Be positive by making up your mind what you put in your
glass. Gain power over how you use the space, put God first, and simply move on.
