Here's my take on it all, starting with part II:
Part II: Talks about a very old book that shows why racism was an illusion created for economic gains world-wide: "Notes on the State of Virginia" by Thomas Jefferson (late 1780s period). What shocked me about this book was that the illusion was so convincing by the end of the first World's Fair in St Louis, early 1900s, that it became a permanent part of the fabric of this nation and how we treat other nations, based on race, and what they have that the U.S. wants. Why? Because Jeffersonian Democracy said all men were created equal, but could not justify slavery. So, Jefferson wrote this book, showing that unless you were white, you were not fully human. Amazing, this Jeffersonian Democracy is traced into deals with the Cherokee losing land, the Louisiana Purchase, World War I, Pearl Harbor, Korea, Viet Nam, and of course it goes without saying, Iraq. All because the U.S. wants to occupy and rule as the imperial power it called itself in the early 1900s, justified by ruling over others unjustly. The real reason Pearl Harbor was bombed was because Japan needed oil and coal, and the rulers of that day saw the Phillipines as a place for these resources. So did the U.S. They demanded that Japan leave the Philipines alone because the US wanted to keep its hands on the Phillipines. Japan said "up yours" basically, and bombed Pearl Harbor. Of course everyone knows what we did: drop a big ol' nuclear bomb on the Japanese nation. Any history war buffs out there, correct me if my understanding of this is wrong, but it's all on the PBS video serious of "Race, The Illusion." What a trip, American History.
