Any cloudy, rainy day is a Mary day for me and that is exactly what we have in Boston - a beautiful, blessed rainy day! Rainy days have always been my favorite kind of days for me ever since childhood. Everything seemed so clean, serene, so sweet and calm. And, since most people considered cloudy days and rain depressing and inconvenient, they actually retreated into themselves, seemingly depressed and retreated into their shells unless absolutely forced to interact with others. Not me!
For some unexplainable reason, I have always felt an infusion of calm and loving energy, enjoying every single drop as my soul expands with positivity and good thoughts. I really love the way I feel and only wish it would rain for days and days every time rain comes around.
Ironically, I lived in California all my life up until 12 years ago (Boston) so I was used to sun most every day and experienced little rain, as rain goes in California. One of the main reasons I ultimately got my wish and moved to a snowy (if not so rainy, after all) Boston.
