Problems occurring while trying write my next book. The book is very important to me. I have pages and pages of notes, legal size sheets of paper with each one of us nine childrens names written on it..and anything that I remember about someone, I write it on everyones own paper. It seems like ages since I first posted my blog here. I was also on blogstream.com and had put a link to it here. For health reasons I temporarily closed out my blog on blogstream, but hope to open it up again in the near future. When I do this, I will give all of you the blogstream link to check out the other side of me..
As mentioned in my bio, I am writing my second book, which will be called, IT'S ME-HOUSE. It took me 4 years to write the first book, I AM AFRAID,(The Affairs of my Heart). This time, for some reason, the words are not coming fast enough to suit me. I know what I want to say but for some strange reason once the words are down on paper, I always seem to find fault with the words. This book covers the house I grew up in, with my 4 brothers and 4 sisters. The book starts in 1942 when my Mom and Dad had the house built, the first one on our street, and moving into it in 1942 when I was two years old, and Mom was pregnant with my first brother. I have a huge binder filled with my notes and stories on each of us 9 children. Notes on my parents..Each birthdate and goings on in our lives, until each of us finally left home. My parents deaths, my one brothers death and finally in 2001 my son bought the house we grew up in. We had to put it up for sale so my moms medical bills could be paid when her Alzheimers caused her to need more care then we all could give her at home. No one wanted to even think about our house not being our house anymore. My brothers talked my son into buying it and he surprised me with this revelation on the 2nd day of my first open heart surgery (to replace my diseased aortic valve with a pig valve). He told me that now I could come and live with him in the house, instead of an apartment. This was the happiest moment in my life..All 59 years of our house and the goings-on during these years would still live on for all of us. Oh what memories we have all had.
So, why am I finding it so difficult to put all my notes and stories into the right words for my book. Maybe I should make my book into a tape. I ramble so much I am sure I could fill lots of tapes with the words that need to be said and shared. Does anyone out there, who is reading this now, have any suggestions to help me? This book really means a lot to me to complete. Any comments would be appreciated.
