PLEASE HELP ME--DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER? 12/10/2006 3:16:36 PM
Am looking for the story, movie name, that featured 3 women who's job it was as follows: For over a year now I have been racking my brain trying to think of either the book title or the movie title that centered on 3 young women, (there were more women involved,but the story had those 3 portrayed as the most important to the story)who worked in a typing pool, of a big newspaper, that carried a lovelorn-type column in its daily newspapers
The womens job was to make up letters so that it looked like the column was getting lots of mail..they made up the problems,used fake names, and even had the job of typing up the column's writers answer to the question posed...
The women really got into doing this, as some of the mail was from real people and they had to answer in their own words how they thought and felt about the posed question..
I can not remember any names of the stars who played the women..all I can vividly remember is a picture that ran somewhere in the advertisement for the movie..It was a picture of 3 women, in their early 20's, laying on a carpet on their stomachs, with a typewriter in front of each one of them..with their elbows and arms posed on their typewriters, and their face or chins atop their hands, like they were thinking..I can never forget that picture, but that is all I can remember..Is anyone able to help me remember??
The reason it is bugging me now, is that I saw that picture of those 3 women again a while back--and where it was shown, no one there seemed to know who it belonged to, or what the picture was from, and really didn't seem to care...Just me,
I care, and it will keep bugging me until I find the answer...PLEASE, if anyone reading this, thinks they might have a clue or answer to this search, I would be most
grateful and will give that person a shout-out here on my blog...
