My Book, Roses For Maria has just gone through extensive editing. Being my first book, I expected mistakes. So, when I got word from a very trusted friend that I might want to review it again I jumped at the chance to take his advice. As a result, I am very grateful that I did.
Three of us looked this thing over with a fine tooth comb. Checking not only my origional work but each others work as well. The book is complete now and the new version should be ready in one to two weeks.
Now that we have that "little project" completed I am preparing my apartment for Tropical Storm Fay. Even still, the words of a friend from church keep haunting me. She said "Write the book." I told her I did and she said, "No, write the next one NOW, don't wait." I asked her why and she said that the story of Maria is too strong to not have a "sequel" so I guess since there has been confirmation of this from others that I will "write the book."
One day when I know that Maria's story is really touching the lives and hearts of the people that it was inteded for I would love to branch out my writing. I have a love story in my head that I want to see played out on paper.
I do know however, that until my job with Maria is complete I really cannot move on to something else.
