Well, it has been a while since I have posted a blog or posted anything anywhere other than work for a while.
This blog brings a few items of interest. The first and happiest is the fact that my daughter won 2 silver medals at the Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Gijon, Spain. Spain is beautiful even though it is this writers opinion that they are quickly becoming as the French in their dislike for American's.
My British friend tells me that we American's can come off a little demanding. I can somewhat understand what she is saying but when I pay 150.00 per night for 10 nights at a hotel, I expect to sleep and not have to listen to teenagers drinking in the street below me. :( Thank God that my daughter was at a different hotel with the team so she slept fine.
On another subject, this could quite possibly be the saddest week of my life. My husband, who has been in some legal trouble due to some indescretions that he chose to take outside the privacy of his own home, is leaving. He is going back to his family. I pray that they encourage him to get the help that he needs, even though he says he doesn't need any help. I have totally mixed emotions. I need closure to the legal aspect, I have nothing to do with it and it is very disgusting and hard to live with. On the other hand, I am saddened over yet another failed relationship. I am glad that I have friends who keep reminding me that I am not responsible for what he did. It still hurts. I prayed for a Christian husband. Maybe I should have been more specific and asked for one without a deep dark ugly secret. I do know that as a Christian I am to forgive. Unfortunately, it will be easier to forgive if I don't have to think about it daily.
