As a Christian I am driven. I am driven to work hard to raise my daughter, support her in her endeavors, support the Church, and to comfort and serve those around me.
This election was a historic one. One that was going to see a change in America no matter what. Now that it is over, I find my self strangly at peace. I didn't vote for the winner. I found myself being concerned for America and the choice that it made.
I now realize that it doesn't matter. I prayed for God's will to be done and aparently it has been. I know that we Christians are safe. We will be protected when leaders fall. Things don't "change" as quickly or the way people want them too but we will also be protected when frauds are revealed. There were many upsets and surprises in this election.
Now, I am not calling anyone out. I don't not know God's plan and I do not feel that I have the authority to say who is a fraud and who isn't. I do know that in times of troubling economics it is easy to be misled by people who make promises they cannot keep.
It is not my intention with this post to upset anyone. In fact, I am happy that there was so much celebration last night throughout the world in a time when there hasn't been much to celebrate. I do pray that people keep in mind that our new President is a human being, he is not God.
Worshiping MAN is what gets this world into trouble. I wish him well and good luck. He has his work cut out for him. It is time now for people all over the world to move on, past the election, enjoy the lower gas prices that will lead to lower food prices and to look forward past the failures of banks, the stock market and the housing market.
I also pray that everyone keep things in perspective and don't bow down to a MAN. One man did not create this mess and one man is not going to get us out of it.
When we put someone on such a high pedastal they will eventually let us down. Humans are humans and the worship attitude will cause this country to lose everything it fought and prayed so hard for.
Let him be a man, let him do his job and let's not put unrealistic expectations on him.
