Good Results!! 8/20/2010 9:44:52 AM
So I told all of you that I had started this diet from www.try6weekbody.com last Friday. I lost 7 whole pounds from it and I have not eaten every vegetable that it says to. If you stuck to that you would probably lose 10 lbs. easy in a week. I cannot stick with eating that strict of foods. I can however live like I have for the last week easily. This is not hard at all and is the best money I have ever spent in my life. I never had any energy and when it came to taking chemo I almost didn't do it, because my quality of life was not that good. I think different now. The most weight I had ever lost was 10 pounds in a month and I thought that was good, but never stuck to it because it was too hard.
This is easy because you can feel the weight coming off and see it too. Even if you do not lose anything for a day or two you can see the difference. It makes it fun to get up in the morning to see what the scale says. Tomorrow I am going to measure to see how many inches I have lost everywhere, because I can really tell it in my clothes that it is way more than I expected. I have not even tried the exercises with it yet because I am doing the ones for my ankle right now.
I have gone through the dvd though and they look fun, not strenuous like you would think that they would be at all. Michael shows you how to target every little muscle in your body so that you have definition. It is like having the trainer live with you. You do not have to spend money on a gym membership or pay for the gas to get there. Anybody can do this you just have to make your mind up to start. You can tell by listening to the news that sooner or later if you are overweight the insurance companies are going to charge you more for the health costs, the way it sounds. I do not want to be the reason our healthcare costs more for my family let alone the cost it is doing to my body.
The best thing in this plan is that there is a website that you can go to for help for any reason you may be having trouble and can talk to people who know how to help. You can also talk to people who are doing it and have support doing the plan for life, and that makes me feel better right there.
I am taking up a new hobby so I do not get back in the rut of thinking about food all of the time. I love to cook, but have decided to cook for the people that I love, instead of just what sounds good that I like. When we have company I am going to eat just a little bit with them instead of what I normally would eat now and go right back on it the next meal. I do not eat out that often and when I do I am going to have my favorite thing and then go right back to the plan the next meal without thinking about it. That is my new rule. I want to be an example to my family now. Maybe it will keep me from getting this disease again. Until Later - Consider thinner if you are like me!! The other side is better. Lori
