Our Family is Hanging in There 9/9/2010 7:33:03 AM
I have not been on here in a while, our daughter came home to see my dad before something happens to him. She will not be attending his funeral when ever that occurs. We felt like it was better for her to come while he was still alive.
She is buying my dad's truck, and drove it home to OK Monday on Labor Day. It was a little scary thinking about her driving 12-13 hours by herself back to Oklahoma. She is the most determined child. She had no trouble getting back home.
I talked to her last night and she had two papers due today, a test on 5 chapters, and she had to lead a discussion group in the other class. At about seven o'clock she was going to the shop as one of her best friends is mechanic and is teaching her how to work on cars. He taught her how to put on brake shoes I think is what it was and she was so excited. My husband is a bus mechanic. After that she had three other friends from church coming over to help her pack up her stuff as she is getting ready to move into the house with the family from her church. She is really excited. I just hope she can accomplish everything she intends to do. I do not know how she will add a job to all of the studying that she is doing now.
I am staying close to home as mom goes through this with dad. He is in bed pretty much all of the time now. He is getting weaker everyday. We just pray that it will not be much longer. Until Later - Lori
