Our Trip to Oklahoma 1/6/2011 12:15:48 PM
I am sorry I have not been on here since our trip, but things have been really busy around here. We left on a Sunday morning for Oklahoma to visit our daughter before Thanksgiving. I was not feeling the best that morning and had three Amoxicilin pills kept back in case of an emergency. I took one that morning and one that night. I took another one on Monday and one on Tuesday. By Wednesday morning I was sick and had Kara take me to the doctor.
He told me I was extremely contagious for three days. We got medicine and I went to bed in the motel room. Luckily we had eaten with her family on Monday night and met them. We were invited to their house for dinner Wednesday night, but my mom and husband did not go that night since I was sick and then on Thanksgiving for dinner again. Our daughter was sick there, but could still attend the party since she lived there anyway. They all had fun and I called all of the other kids on the phone being that was the first time we had not spent Thanksgiving together since I had known all of them.
I would have really been upset if Kara and my mom and husband had not gone shopping on Tuesday night too. Since we had I only really missed the one thing I had really looked forward to doing. Spending Thanksgiving with her family that she lives with.
Friday morning we waited on Kara to come over to the motel for a little while before we were going to leave. She was feeling better and on her way to getting well. I was so glad I did not have to travel sick. We still had fun even though the trip was not planned that way.
It has been so hectic here since. The next week both of the guys got sick after we had gotten home and I had to take both of them to the doctor and then got sick that afternoon from being around sick people at the doctor's office. I was sick three different times in about seven days with three different things. Then the guys at the shelter all got sick with the stomach flu the week before Christmas. I felt sorry for all of them with no one to take care of them. They are all well now and look forward to the New Year. Until later - Lori
