Back at Low Arvie 8/10/2010 1:51:22 AM

I haven't blogged for a few days but I'm now back at Low Arvie after a hectice week down in England.
My cousin's husband is swiftly reaching then end, we think, and its all very sad. We are hoping that he has a bit longer to enjoy life with his family but the pain seems to be getting worse and we are awaiting his next visit to the consultant for news of any more available treatment. I spent three days with them last week and then three days with my friend back in Yorkshire. That was a happier time as I hadn't seen her for a while and it was good to catch up.
Here at Low Arvie, all is peace and traquility. The cows are mooching round the fields waiting for their new calves and last year's calves have settled down to life without their mothers. Holly and Zack, of course are still with their mothers and are growing quickly.
August is very quiet here as the children are still off school for the holidays and most of my teaching commitments clode down until the start of the new term. Even two of the dorothys are taking a break from Spanish studies for a couple of weeks.
I am still concentrating on learnming the intricacies of internet communication and I have commissioned a new website which will be up to date and on which I will be able to blog and link to Author's Den. I had a meeting with the website creator and discussed what I needed and so i have abandoned my blogspot blog for the moment until I see how things pan out with the new website. I think that will be a one-size fits all sort of thing, but I still have to learn about it and see.
The rain is still falling here in South West Scotland and we would not have been able to cut the silage if we had waited until July, so thank goodness we got it done in June. Hopefully the weather will turn good again in September for the second cut.
Oh, and Tabitha - I'm afraid she is still running up the lane. I just had no time to move her on last week.
