An appreciated response to my recent blog regarding "Commenting on Others' Works" Recently I posted a blog entry regarding "Commenting on Others' Works." Just when we think we are living in a world where no one cares about the feelings of their fellow citizens, then someone comes along, pats us on the back, and lets us know that all is not bad with the world. Thank you, dear reader, for your kind words. They were appreciated beyond description. I am posting your words here for all to see:
"David, it's unfortunate that you had to be subjected to such insensitivity. You have to wonder what purpose the commentator thought he was serving in writing what he did. Did he think he was somehow helping you, or does he merely enjoy the opportunity to give people his opinion? I'm not sure how someone can decide for you what kind of relationship you had with your sister, or how you should feel about her passing. Sometimes people are just strange. My sympathies on your loss."
