Topic: Obedience

Today was allowance day. Goody and her brother Two Shoes were excited because their father had promised to give them a raise.

Already Two Shoes was thinking about a visit to the neighborhood candy store to satisvfy his sweet tooth and add to his cd collection.

"You think dad is really going to increase our allowance", he asked his sister."Well dad did say it would depend on our obedience and responbilities met...home. church school". Goody answered.

Two Shoes didn't say a word.  He just hoped his dad would give him a chance to explain that he really forgot to take out the trash, do his homework and not tell jokes inSunday School.   There was really only one thing on his mind..  more money, more money, more money!  In any case he would find out when dad got home from work.

Righteous , he thoght.

"Say you two, I thought you'd be out the door by now", mother said.  "Go ahead getsome fresh air but take a jacket.  Two Shoes'don't forget to take out the trash and be back by 4.

Sighing, Two Shoes grabbed a jacket and took out the trash.  Goody wondered why it was so difficult for her brother to get it.  Though she didn't say anything she thought about the lesson that talks about honoring your parents.  And that means being obedient and responsible she thought.

Deciding to go to Friendship Park, the two agreed to meet at the pavilion by 3:30.

A few minutes after they arived at the park, Two Shoes saw his friend Buster at the taco stand.

Goody decided to go to the arts and crafts exhibit.

"Hey wass up ", Two Shoes said headed toward his friend.

"Hey Two. I'm just chillin'.  I see you're hangin"  out with your little sister.  Say why don't we go to the new arcade room at the mall?

"Or do you have to stay and play with your little sister". Buster mocked.

Immediatedly his mothers instructions came to mind.

Never leave your sister when you go somewhere together.

Obedience always brings honor and rewards. Disobedience always brings consequences and regrets.

"Nope.  I am not going to play as you say with my sister.  But I am responsible for taking care of my sister.

You go ahead and I'll cstch you some other time", zTwo Shoes responded.

Buster looked at his friend with new respect.

Two Shoes left to look for his sister.
