Get Going
10/17/2020 12:29:58 PM

Tempting as sitting at PC and writing, the body calls for exercise and off we go for a long walk
When inspiration hits one must answer the call and pound the keys. And that's exactly what I just did, turning what I wrote in my blog over to the philosophy section because I think that is ultimately where it belongs.

Discipline is what I should write about next because it takes so much of it to accomplish anything meaningful in my life; thank God I love discipline and order; thank God. But, even then, I have to really set up a plan, daily and do my best to accomplish it.

At my age, I could easily cop out (or "justify") that I have earned the right to chill and not push anymore, but that would really, for me, be a cop out because it's not true. Sure, once in a while it's a good - and healthy thing to do - but not as a steady diet. It would not work. I absolutely need to make the most of my day, whatever I choose to do with it. Something meaningful - and always, but always, exercise because it makes me so very happy.

So, having stretched for quite a bit and later done an hour of Yoga, I know get my act together and head out for a nice, long walk along the parks in Boston. Rain, over, the sun is out and the temperature crispy and inviting.

Here's hopping to it!
