Holy of Holies!
I just got back from shopping at Boston's "Hay Market," an outside market where local farmers display their wares and compete with one another for customers. You just have to be there to believe the goings on; it's entertainment for sure - and certainly, quite often, not for the faint of heart!
These days, stepping out into public spaces with all kinds of nuts milling about, it's no joke to say that one may be taking one's life in one's hands... I'm home; I made it.
People, I find (at least on the East Coast) will take each other to task over a nickle - much less (or more!) a quarter and, a $1.00 - Forget about it! I almost saw two guys come to blows over 50cents! The merchant, shockingly, has not dropped dead from a heart attack because he has the temper from hell and obviously enjoys all the attention he gets from the crowd that gathers to hear his shouting. I managed to make the best of it and just enjoy shopping (or "shoplifting," as I like to say to blow people's minds, generously tipping an exceptionally nice merchant - especially not the greedy ones who may give you an extra grape or brussel sprout that just happened to tip the scale a bit in your favor. I can't stand cheap; in my view, it is a sin only comparable to rude...but then, this is Boston...
OK. Gotta put my veggies away. I didn't buy grapes, or any types of berries because I truly like quality and these, "bless their little hearts," don't quite make it. I'll splurge and honor my Body Temple with fruit from Whole Foods; yup!
