Funny how such simple things like a bike seemed so decadently luxurious to us as children.

Bikes are an unspoken rite of passage in our culture.
Wonder how much community would benefit if it was acknowledged
that every pre-teen/teen remembers their first bike with this
kind of quality. Hmmm. We have more culture than we know, it just
goes uncelebrated at the level of common community.
