I have forgotten my life somehow I would remember but... better not Time knows no delay except decay I am not who I was (if I was Ever even anyone) at all
I was someone else but I forgot Just who that was who was long ago Lost in the service of some lost cause Yet I played my part however small
Why? I cannot say nor do I know
I was young then when I went away Back when life was long and time was slow Another lifetime another day Too far in the past to see from now
I am uncertain as to whether I could even find the words to say Alone now how it was together Before those pieces of yesterday Shattered (if they mattered) anyway
So right you are Steve old friend, we writers and poets are a hardy breed and feed off controversy, strive, love both good and bad, and the way life treats us. Without these things we would lose our topics to write about.
From time to time we remembered bits and pieces of our yesterdays, that we have a feeling that it didn't happen in this life time. I have thoughts like this all the time.
...and then I would think to myself, "Wait a minute, did it really happen in tis lifetime?"
Join me as we travel together on the road called "Aging." I will be sharing my personal experiences with you and offer ideas on how we can better navigate the complex byways of our older years. Grief, healing, generations, ancestors, and more.
