Meatloaf and Mashers

Sometimes you have to know when to say when. Unless it's mashers and gravy

Sometimes I have to wonder

What goes on inside my head

It happens fairly frequently

When I sit down to break my bread

I could not resist the blue plate special

The chef put out today

And for the rest of the afternoon

The gut bomb’s here to stay

A slab of meatloaf and mashers

A nap now guaranteed

Except I have to do some work

Some bosses have that need

I feel my eyelids drooping

I should have eaten salad

Instead I’ll wallow in my chair

And end this culinary ballad

Too funny. Now I'm hungry and the sushi I've ordered isn't going to cut it.

I agree with George, the gravy is a must
Funny how we all eat the things we shouldn't
