Thoughts upon disembarking the Norwegian Pearl, our adventure hostess.

Norwegian Pearl, gorgeous girl Thought we’d give cruise a whirl A week aboard to just unwind The constant crushing daily grind Soft scent sea air like magic flowers An ocean bouquet of healing powers The gentle sway, relaxing pace Put a smile back on my face Refreshing beverage in the breeze Tasty morsels meant to please One more belt size by end of week Ignored the treadmill’s diet speak Crab stuffed mushrooms, pints of beer Steak cooked “blue,” my favorite dear Casino gambling…lost my tush I had straight, the dealer flush Leisure evenings, pleasant nights Rolling ship’s, sleepy delights All unwound now from the stress Not one thought of next week’s mess Now returned to Long Beach Berth I offer up for what it’s worth As I contemplate how Monday will be I could really get used to being “lost at sea” Copyright 2009 Patrick A. Oh Patrick, you should had done like Ulysses crew and plug your ears with wax...now it is too late, the Sirens and Nymphs have taken hold of your soul, you will never be free but at sea!
