My 77 year old mother, who has Alzheimers muttered to herself, but audibly enough last night as we cleared airport security heading for gate A4. “Watch, shoes, why don’t they just make us take everything off?”
Now there’s a picture for ya.

Welcome to the Bob Hope Airport
As in, we hope you make your flight
Sorry about security
But you may be here all night

We heard a nasty rumor
A potential bombing threat
We know that it is coming
And we haven’t found it yet

We know the evil weapon
Isn’t hidden in a shoe
Performing a full body search
Is what we’re going to do

So you there sirs dressed in the suits
Would you kindly drop your drawers
We need to do an inspection
Of both of your backdoors

We’ll try to keep it private
Over here behind this screen
For making fun of your fat ass
Would be publicly obscene

And while we’re at it madam
You’ll have to take off those depends
Yes we know they’re soggy
But we’re checking all rear ends

We know it’s inconvenient
And the probe that we will use
Has made the trip a hundred times
So sorry you can’t refuse

Just think about the bright side
Your plane is safe to fly
And the Airline's agreed to give you
All the Preparation H you can apply

It is very funny. Life is too serious and if you fail to see the sunshine you really might as well give up.

Hilarious; too funny, but sad in a way; dealing with a parent with Alzheimer's is no laughing matter! I will keep you in my prayers; that's got to be soo hard for you!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
