Smoke on the Water

After last week's near catastrophe I got our spa working, complete with "special" aroma therapy.

Poem Artwork

It has been said the Gods protect

The idiots and the fools

But never once did I expect

They’d bend old Smokey’s rules

It’s true I had a fire

That should have been prevented

My spa and deck were badly scorched

A recent poem relented

But Neptune smiled and spared the foam

That protected plastic plumbing

A tiny leak that can be repaired

Evening splashes now forthcoming

I cleaned it up and we got in

Our oasis had clearly smoked

All ended well and I’m so glad

My grilling privileges were not revoked

It has been said the Gods protect
The idiots and the fools

I thank the Gods for that, just about every day!

Great meeting you yesterday, Patrick, although I really did have a taste for those Chicago style, kosher style hot dogs; oh, well, someother time my friend. As always, if your poems do not bring a "LOL" then know you almost always get at least a wide grin. By the way, since you purchased "Becoming" please, so you will enjoy the book, do not read anymore of my submitted excerpts.
