Jeanette asked the rhetorical question recently, why do people throw away pennies. Since they are mostly zinc and have less value than a bottle cap, I guess people throw them away.....Because they can. Simple answer to a much deeper question. I too have a jar of pennies.

I thank Jeanette for the inspiration for this little diddy.

I think saving pennies makes perfect 'sense'.
One cent here,
twp cents there,
three cents resolves dispair

Cheers,
Dan

These are worth more than a plug nickel, that's for sure. Funny honey.

All Good - but my favorite, and far too often how I feel these days:

“I feel like a penny, waiting for change”

Have a jar full of those and other countries pennies, thought that someone of the last generation would be interested, but they are too busy connected to Ipods sound track and electronic visual...oh well!

I share my two 1969 pennies with you, Patrick, for your Penny Loafers. Slip them in the slot and reminisce the Everly Brothers Cathy's Clown, Bird Dog and Wake up Little Suzie...

Warmly,
Sage

Well done, Patrick. But 100 pennies still equals $1.00; so yes, I still pick them up. Great write, my friend.
