Horneo from Borneo
Was looking for a mate
Living in the rainforest
He could no longer wait
He’d worn out all the knot holes
In all the knot hole trees
And with his age advancing
He couldn’t catch monkeys
When the zebras saw him coming
It caused a huge stampede
He had been successful once
So now they all took heed
He walked up to an elephant
Wondering should he take a chance
Then realized without a ladder
There wouldn’t likely be romance
Then he stumbled across a woman
The first he’d ever seen
Horneo knew just what to do
The woman managed to intervene
The thing you seek is in reserve
Until the day that we are wed
And you must give up your animal friends
He agreed to what she said
The ceremony was short and sweet
Then Horneo sought his prize
He met with some resistance
And then much to his surprise
The thing you sought is now reserved
From the day that we were wed
Tonight I have a headache
And I’m going straight to bed
With his reservations cancelled
Horneo checked out of this hotel
Returning to his rainforest
Far more happy he could tell
He became a master baiter
Hooking trophy fish with ease
Tending daily to his grove
Of hybrid knot hole trees
