Wasn't sure how to catagorize this one...I call it dark humor. Purely fiction.

Demons My demons got the upper hand Again Crafty bastards See in the dark Smell blood in the water In the air Hear a pin drop at a thousand paces That sound of deep despair Inaudible to mere mortals I spoke to God about it He chuckled Then told me to mind my own business I tried to explain My time card keeps getting stuck In the punch clock He just rolled his eyes And released the card From the clock’s grip As the floor became ooze The air thick with the screams Of demons My demons My screams Inaudible to mere mortals Angels playing name that tune Got it in just three notes God pulls out his ear buds and says Got it in two Copyright 2011 Patrick Granfors

Patrick, I don't know where your mind has been, but it's good that you take it out and shake out the cobwebs every so often. I'd hate to imagine the things that would come creeping out of there if you didn't do that every once in a while. You had me sitting up and taking notice on this one buddy.

Mere mortal lives by the billions, probably does get a little repetitive watching humans make the same mistakes over and over and over. Nice change of pace.
