Life in the Litter Box

I recently came to the realization that like most people, my world is a litter box and I don’t even have a cat. Here kitty kitty.

Poem Artwork

What’s that odor I smell today

Wafting my way on the breeze

Nobody changed the litter

Politicians just do as they please

Nobody brought in the scooper

Now the problems are starting to mount

After I’ve paid all my taxes

I’ve very little money to count

All the roads are laden with potholes

The environment has lost its appeal

When nobody changes the litter

Legislators will continue to steal

Campaigners throw litter like confetti

Showering us with its ill effects

Promising things will be better

In spite of what everyone expects

They say there is safety in numbers

In politics that surely is true

There is only one way we get rid of the turds

Change the litter is what we must do

I absolutely love it! The metaphor between kitty litter and politics is a great one.

LITTER, LITTER ...

SOME LIES BIG ...
SOME SMALL ...
LYING BASTARDS ALL!

TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES ...
REMOVE YOUR SOCKS ...
WIGGLE YOUR TOES ...
IN LIFE'S 'LITTER BOX'!

CUZ TK ...

What a metaphor for politics today! There certainly is something smelly in the litter box. I think I'll go throw it out.

Alas my friend, as one who constantly changes litter boxes I know that more turds will soon arrive. And in politics, you can get rid of all the turds in any election, but new ones will soon very happily take their place.

Term limits. Never happen, but if we had term limits and do away with ALL the damn perks, they are supposed to be serving us, the people, not making backroom deals to make them, selves rich. There sure needs to be a revolution, one that will throw the bums out.

Leave the litter box. Come what, come may. We will be just fine. Envision lake, peace, quiet, no traffic.
