When I was kid
I would look at the stars
awe at the things
that shot across the night sky,
nothing has change
just names rearranged
its Star Trek and Stargate
with others thrown in.
Planets are viewed
in real time array
and all the imagination
it stays just the same.
I've seen things
that cannot be explained
do not want to call them UFO
but I have seen them all the same.
Perhaps I was infected
many years ago
and I see what I believe
and not what I know.
Maybe the truth is out there
perhaps to shatter dreams
maybe its best left
the awe of the heavens
reality unseen.
